Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2019 Christies in London held the auction Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Collection - Online Only, which included this untitled work by Kura Shomali. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,886.09). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kura Shomali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Malik), 2012, which sold at auction in May 2020 for GBP 3,562.00 (€ 3,954.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Collection - Online Only durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kura Shomali zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.886,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kura Shomali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Malik), 2012 beobachtet, die im Mai 2020 für GBP 3.562,00 (€ 3.954,21) versteigert wurde.
