This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yen Fu Kuo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Professional Set sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 24,636.36).
