Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sofa's Codeword by Kuo Wei Kuo was sold in the Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 22,011.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 160,000.00 – 240,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kuo Wei Kuo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Angel, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 607,500.00 (€ 53,106.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sofa's Codeword von Kuo Wei Kuo wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 22.011,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 160.000,00 – 240.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kuo Wei Kuo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Angel beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 607.500,00 (€ 53.106,62) versteigert wurde.
