Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Public Park With Garden Seat by Kristen Headlam was sold in the CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Melbourne in June 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 1,175.00 (€ 670.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kristen Headlam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Public Park in August 2005 with an auction result of AUD 71,365.00 (€ 43,490.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Public Park With Garden Seat von Kristen Headlam wurde im Juni 2002 in der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 1.175,00 (€ 670,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kristen Headlam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Public Park im August 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 71.365,00 (€ 43.490,40).
