Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Flowers in a Seascape) by Krishna Hawlaji Ara. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,449.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishna Hawlaji Ara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 240,000.00 (€ 197,709.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Flowers in a Seascape) von Krishna Hawlaji Ara zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.449,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishna Hawlaji Ara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 240.000,00 (€ 197.709,86).
