Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Sunset by Krishna Reddy. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,084.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Krishna Reddy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Group Of Trees) in November 2018 with an auction result of INR 1,062,500.00 (€ 13,418.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset von Krishna Reddy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.084,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishna Reddy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Group Of Trees) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 1.062.500,00 (€ 13.418,48).
