Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Praying Woman by Krishna Reddy for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,449.23). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Krishna Reddy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Group Of Trees) in November 2018 with an auction result of INR 1,062,500.00 (€ 13,418.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Praying Woman von Krishna Reddy für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.449,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishna Reddy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Group Of Trees) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 1.062.500,00 (€ 13.418,48).
