Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Pine Trees In Raffina by Konstantinos Maleas. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 53,897.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Konstantinos Maleas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek The Fortress, Thessaloniki, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 108,500.00 (€ 151,928.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Pine Trees In Raffina von Konstantinos Maleas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 53.897,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Konstantinos Maleas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek The Fortress, Thessaloniki beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 108.500,00 (€ 151.928,07) versteigert wurde.
