Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Greek courtyard With Tree by Konstantinos Maleas. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 23,764.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Konstantinos Maleas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek The Fortress, Thessaloniki in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 108,500.00 (€ 151,928.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek courtyard With Tree von Konstantinos Maleas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 23.764,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Konstantinos Maleas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek The Fortress, Thessaloniki im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.500,00 (€ 151.928,07).
