Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction Important Silver, Russian Works of Art and Paintings, which included the work Portrait of a street musician by Konstantin Savitskii. The price achieved of GBP 47,800.00 (€ 68,617.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Konstantin Savitskii have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hunter in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 209,600.00 (€ 311,262.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Silver, Russian Works of Art and Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a street musician von Konstantin Savitskii zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.800,00 (€ 68.617,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Konstantin Savitskii auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hunter im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 209.600,00 (€ 311.262,56).
