A top price for Kong Decheng
This artwork by Kong Decheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy In Jiaguwen sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,780.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy In Jiaguwen the most expensive artwork by Kong Decheng that we have observed at auctions so far.
