Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mechelse Koekoek X Poulet De Bresse by Koen Vanmechelen was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2019. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Koen Vanmechelen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cosmopolitan Fossil in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 96,584.14).
