Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kitty Wilmer O'Brien could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II auction, the work The cross at Cong, County Galway, Ireland changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 733.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kitty Wilmer O'Brien achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Aasleigh Valley, Co. Sligo in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,834.53).
