In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction The Japanese Aesthetic, which included the work An okubi-e bust portrait by one of Utamaro's pupils, signed Hidemaro fude by Kitagawa Hidemaro. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,954.62), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kitagawa Hidemaro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sodenoura of the Tamaya and Kamuro, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,978.77).

Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Japanese Aesthetic durch, in der auch die Arbeit An okubi-e bust portrait by one of Utamaro's pupils, signed Hidemaro fude von Kitagawa Hidemaro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.954,62) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Kitagawa Hidemaro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sodenoura of the Tamaya and Kamuro beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.978,77) versteigert wurde.
