Quarto (290 x 220mm). 230 colour photographs. Printed prospectus laid-in. Original black boards, sides and spine gold-lettered, original vinyl dust-jacket printed in white, original printed cardboard slipcase with yellow label printed in red on side (slipcase with some spotting and soiling, minor wear on the jacket). Provenance: a contemporary reader (neat inscription on the slipcase).
FIRST EDITION. AN EXCELLENT COPY, complete with the printed prospectus, and the dust-jacket in much above average condition. A 'baffling, hypnotic book... by one of Japan's best known commercial photographers' (The Photobook). Auer, p.586; The Photobook, vol. I, p.303.

Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Photobooks, which included the work Hareta Hi -- A Fine Day. Tokyo: Heibon-sha, 1975. by Kishin Shinoyama. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,464.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Kishin Shinoyama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twin - 1970 in October 2015 with an auction result of EUR 7,540.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photobooks durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hareta Hi -- A Fine Day. Tokyo: Heibon-sha, 1975. von Kishin Shinoyama zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.464,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kishin Shinoyama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twin - 1970 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.540,00.
