This artwork by Kim Ki-Chang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2006. In the Korean Art Including The Robert Moore Collection of Korean auction, the work Man Leading A Woman On Horseback sold for USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,285.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Ki-Chang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quiet Listening in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 157,190.84).
