Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grace Kelly vs Frank Sinatra by Kim Dong-Yoo was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2009. The price achieved of HKD 980,000.00 (€ 84,313.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kim Dong-Yoo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mao Vs. Monroe in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 345,300.00 (€ 451,638.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grace Kelly vs Frank Sinatra von Kim Dong-Yoo wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 980.000,00 (€ 84.313,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kim Dong-Yoo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mao Vs. Monroe im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 345.300,00 (€ 451.638,85).
