The work Home No.1 by Kila Cheung was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,732.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Kila Cheung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In Between Flower and Cactus in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 201,600.00 (€ 22,835.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Home No.1 von Kila Cheung kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.732,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kila Cheung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In Between Flower and Cactus im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 22.835,41).
