This artwork by Kiki Kogelnik achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2021. In the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction, the work Renaissance head gold (from the Venetian Heads I series) sold for EUR 37,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kiki Kogelnik have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Melancholie in December last year with an auction result of GBP 220,500.00 (€ 248,923.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kiki Kogelnik erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam wurde die Arbeit Renaissance head gold (from the Venetian Heads I series) für EUR 37.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kiki Kogelnik auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Melancholie im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 220.500,00 (€ 248.923,02).
