This work without title by Kibwanga Mwenze was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,780.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kibwanga Mwenze - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, 1954, which sold at auction in March 2021 for EUR 10,400.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kibwanga Mwenze kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.780,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Für andere Arbeiten von Kibwanga Mwenze mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1954 beobachtet, die im März 2021 für EUR 10.400,00 versteigert wurde.
