Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre, 1971 by Kibwanga Mwenze was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May last year. The price achieved of EUR 2,550.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kibwanga Mwenze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans Titre, 1954 in March 2021 with an auction result of EUR 10,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre, 1971 von Kibwanga Mwenze kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.550,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kibwanga Mwenze auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1954 im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.400,00.
