Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2011 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Khaled Al-Saai for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,497.22). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Khaled Al-Saai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Earth and Wind in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 68,027.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2011 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Khaled Al-Saai für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.497,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Khaled Al-Saai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Earth and Wind im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 68.027,21).
