Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2010 Sothebys in Doha held the auction Hurouf: The Art of The Word, which included the work Earth 1 by Khaled Al-Saai. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,188.64), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Khaled Al-Saai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Earth and Wind in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 68,027.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion Hurouf: The Art of The Word durch, in der auch die Arbeit Earth 1 von Khaled Al-Saai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.188,64) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Khaled Al-Saai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Earth and Wind im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 68.027,21).
