This artwork by Kes Zapkus achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2011. In the The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two auction, the work Fireworks sold for EUR 6,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00.
