Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online, which included the work 8am Haymarket by Kevin Leslie Connor. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 600.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 615.00 (€ 374.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kevin Leslie Connor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait (of the gardner in the little sparrow garden, Erskineville) in August 2003 with an auction result of AUD 37,600.00 (€ 22,212.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit 8am Haymarket von Kevin Leslie Connor zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 600,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 615,00 (€ 374,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kevin Leslie Connor erzielen.
