Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Homeless Cup; And Coke Donation by Kevin Landers was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 60.00 (€ 47.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kevin Landers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lottery Shelf in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,674.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Homeless Cup; And Coke Donation von Kevin Landers im Juli 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 60,00 (€ 47,01) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kevin Landers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lottery Shelf im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.438,00 (€ 2.674,24).
