A top price for Kenny Scharf
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work City of the Future by Kenny Scharf. The »bidding war« ended at USD 983,175.00 (€ 916,200.73), 23% above the upper estimate. With this result, City of the Future is even the most expensive work of art by Kenny Scharf that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit City of the Future von Kenny Scharf zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 983.175,00 (€ 916.200,73) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist City of the Future sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kenny Scharf, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
