In January 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included the work Saucer with Waves by Ken Grimes. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,090.23), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ken Grimes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Contact With Aliens Alone Won't Save Us, 1998, which sold at auction in January 2019 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,730.57).

Im Januar 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Outsider and Vernacular Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saucer with Waves von Ken Grimes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.090,23) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ken Grimes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Contact With Aliens Alone Won't Save Us, 1998 beobachtet, die im Januar 2019 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.730,57) versteigert wurde.
