Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Diarist by Ken Currie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2010. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,385.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ken Currie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fatherland, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,620.70).

Die Arbeit The Diarist von Ken Currie kam im April 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.385,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ken Currie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fatherland beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.620,70) versteigert wurde.
