This artwork by Keith Haring achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2017. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Heart Heads) sold for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,312.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Haring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Keith Haring erzielte im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Heart Heads) für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.312,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
