Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Self-Portrait by Keith Haring was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in October 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 60,000.00 (€ 66,624.88), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Haring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Keith Haring wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 66.624,88) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
