Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Interior of San Marco, Venice by Keeley Halswelle. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,570.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keeley Halswelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Play Scene in Hamlet Hamlet: He poisons him i' the garden for his estate. His name's Gonzago: this story is extant, and written in very choice Italian: you shall see anon, how the murder gets the love of Gonzago's wife. Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior of San Marco, Venice von Keeley Halswelle zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.570,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keeley Halswelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Play Scene in Hamlet Hamlet: He poisons him i' the garden for his estate.
