Auction result well in line with expectations
The work AT THIS TIME by Kaws was sold in the Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 121,874.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit AT THIS TIME von Kaws wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 121.874,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
