Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shower Below The Summit (Sanka Haku-U) by Katsushika Hokusai was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 70,329.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katsushika Hokusai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kanagawa oki nami ura (Under the well of the Great Wave off Kanagawa) [“Great Wave”|AID1099960] in March this year with an auction result of USD 2,760,000.00 (€ 2,538,631.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Shower Below The Summit (Sanka Haku-U) von Katsushika Hokusai kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 70.329,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katsushika Hokusai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kanagawa oki nami ura (Under the well of the Great Wave off Kanagawa) [“Great Wave”|AID1099960] im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.760.000,00 (€ 2.538.631,35).
