Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Katherine Bernhardt for HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,284.78). This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katherine Bernhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Katherine Bernhardt für HKD 151.200,00 (€ 18.284,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katherine Bernhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
