A top price for Kate Rohde - as previously expected
The work Australian spotted Skunk by Kate Rohde was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 4,080.00 (€ 2,381.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian spotted Skunk is the most expensive artwork by Kate Rohde that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Australian spotted Skunk von Kate Rohde wurde im August 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 4.080,00 (€ 2.381,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Australian spotted Skunk das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kate Rohde, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
