In September 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work View Of The Oude Gracht, Utrecht by Kasparus Karsen. The result of EUR 4,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kasparus Karsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Katwijk village with the Groot Badhotel in the background in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 45,410.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of The Oude Gracht, Utrecht von Kasparus Karsen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 4.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kasparus Karsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Katwijk village with the Groot Badhotel in the background im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.410,00.
