Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Evening Glow by Karl Yens was sold in the California and Western Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 318.75 (€ 281.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Yens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Again the Meadowlark in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 14,452.72).

Die Arbeit Evening Glow von Karl Yens wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 318,75 (€ 281,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Yens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Again the Meadowlark im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 14.452,72).
