Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1911 by Karl Struss was sold in the Photographies auction at Sothebys in Paris in November 2017. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Struss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Metropolitan Tower--Twilight' in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 313,000.00 (€ 201,053.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1911 von Karl Struss wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Photographies bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Struss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Metropolitan Tower--Twilight' im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 313.000,00 (€ 201.053,44).
