In July last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction KARL, Inspirations, Succession Karl Lagerfeld Part IV, which included the work Two original sketches for fashion | Deux croquis de mode originaux by Karl Lagerfeld. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,268.00 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Lagerfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 52,500.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen

Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion KARL, Inspirations, Succession Karl Lagerfeld Part IV durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two original sketches for fashion | Deux croquis de mode originaux von Karl Lagerfeld zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.268,00 und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Lagerfeld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.500,00.
