Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART, which included the work On the Lagoon, Venice, at dusk; and Figures on the quay by an Italian lake by Karl Kauffmann. The price achieved of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,073.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Kauffmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roma, Castel Sant'Angelo Con San Pietro Sullo Sfondo. in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 23,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Lagoon, Venice, at dusk; and Figures on the quay by an Italian lake von Karl Kauffmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 717,00 (€ 1.073,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Kauffmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roma, Castel Sant'Angelo Con San Pietro Sullo Sfondo. im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.560,00.
