Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Self portrait by Karl Isakson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,873.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Isakson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Morte in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 26,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Self portrait von Karl Isakson im April 2013 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.873,63) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Isakson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Morte im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.400,00.
