This artwork by Karl Alfred Broge achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2008. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Danish Morning Sunlight sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,562.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Karl Alfred Broge; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Woman seen from the back sitting at a small table sold at auction in January 2024 with the realized price of DKK 17,000.00 (€ 14,857.54).
