Auction result well in line with expectations
The work By the Window by Karl Alfred Broge was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2003. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,736.00 (€ 4,986.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Alfred Broge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman seen from the back sitting at a small table, which sold at auction in January 2024 for DKK 17,000.00 (€ 14,857.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit By the Window von Karl Alfred Broge kam im Juni 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.736,00 (€ 4.986,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Alfred Broge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woman seen from the back sitting at a small table beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für DKK 17.000,00 (€ 14.857,54) versteigert wurde.
