Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,500.00 (€ 7,191.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Geftler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of the Prachechny bridge with the Summer Garden and the Summer Palace beyond, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,398.73).
