Despite a disappointment, a good price for Karim Abu Shakra
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Karim Abu Shakra for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,449.91). This price was achieved in the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Karim Abu Shakra that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Karim Abu Shakra
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Karim Abu Shakra für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.449,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Karim Abu Shakra, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
