Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Karel Wiggers could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Damesportret - Portrait of a lady changed hands for EUR 597.50 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karel Wiggers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A portrait of a girl in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karel Wiggers konnte im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wechselte die Arbeit Damesportret - Portrait of a lady für EUR 597,50 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karel Wiggers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A portrait of a girl im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.000,00.
