This artwork by Karel Teige achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2014. In the Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection auction, the work Czech Red. Revue Svazu Moderní Kultury "Devětsil". Prague: Odeon, 1927-1930 sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,715.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karel Teige have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Czech Untitled (Bez Názvu) in November 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 93,667.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karel Teige erzielte im November 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection wurde die Arbeit Czech Red. Revue Svazu Moderní Kultury "Devětsil". Prague: Odeon, 1927-1930 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.715,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karel Teige auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Czech Untitled (Bez Názvu) im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 93.667,07).
