This artwork by Karel Philips Spierincks achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in April 2007. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work An Allegorical Scene With Putti Fighting sold for GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,597.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karel Philips Spierincks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A bacchanal with two fauns looking at drunken Silenus, with putti cavorting, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,464.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karel Philips Spierincks erzielte im April 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit An Allegorical Scene With Putti Fighting für GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.597,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Karel Philips Spierincks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A bacchanal with two fauns looking at drunken Silenus, with putti cavorting beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.464,65) versteigert wurde.
