Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A view of a French bay by Karel Colnot. The price achieved of EUR 960.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karel Colnot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A landscape with a ditch, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 5,875.00 (€ 2,570.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of a French bay von Karel Colnot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 960,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Karel Colnot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A landscape with a ditch beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 5.875,00 (€ 2.570,79) versteigert wurde.
